So here’s a preview of the opening track on the EP – ‘The Hermit’. Hope you enjoy it, please feel free to share social media etc.

In fact we’ve been suitably impressed by the number of you who’ve been in touch asking when the EP will be available to buy. It’s at the presses right now, and we hope to be able to ship physical copies in a matter of weeks.

If you cannot wait to get your mitts on a CD or vinyl copy, then the entire EP will be available on digital download even sooner – keep checking here or follow us on Facebook / Twitter for announcements!

The EP, working title, ‘Dead Men’s Clothes‘ will feature the first new studio recordings by the band in 18 years and will feature four new original tracks. Dead Men’s Clothes is scheduled for release in September 2016 and will be available as a digital download and a limited edition vinyl 7″.

The band has also announced two live dates so far in 2016: The Phantom Cowboys will be playing at The Cat’s Meow club in Norwich on Friday April 29th and will be headlining the Feathersfest alldayer at the Feathers in Wymondham on 2nd July. More lives dates are in the pipeline and are due to be announced shortly.

Check our Gigs page here regularly or The Bands In Town app to stay abreast of new dates as they are announced.

Phantom Cowboys Official YouTube Channel

We’ve finally launched our own YouTube channel. Long before The Phantom Cowboys reformed, people had begun sharing our material online (which by the way, as long as we get our royalties, we don’t mind!) However, now the band is active again we wanted to make sure you can get access to new material and footage as it becomes available.

Megz has been already been busy in the video editing suite and cut some tasty morsels from our August 2015 reunion gig which we’ve shared online: The Phantom Cowboys Official YouTube Channel

Here’s a little preview for your listening and viewing pleasure:

Note: YouTube automatically creates an artist page for the band, using the tag #phantomcowboys. This is completely separate from the bands channel and we cannot control the content or even add links to our material! So don’t be fooled, subscribe now to our official channel to get exclusive updates and new Phantoms material!

A Christmas Carol

As it’s the festive season, it was decided we should attempt to record a yuletide number to share with our friends around the world.

So here’s our Christmas card to you all – our very own arrangement of the traditional carol God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen:

This was recorded at the last Phantom Cowboys rehearsal of 2015 in about 20 minutes, using tracks recorded by a phone and a mac using the onboard mic! We managed to splice the tracks together to miraculously create what you can hear here.

So don’t be too judgemental – it’s just a bit of festive fun! (You might be able to guess that we didn’t waste time looking up the lyrics either).

Finally , a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our friends and supporters around the world. We look forward to seeing you all in 2016!

Rob, Megz, The Serpent & Lord Emsworth.
